Privacy Policy for RaceLineCalc

RaceLineCalc is an application for calculating racing lines from track images, plans, or sketches.

RaceLineCalc is provided under the Red Rat in Hat brand. Red Rat in Hat is a brand operated by PE Patsukevich Aleksandr.

This Privacy Policy explains how RaceLineCalc handles information in the current Android app and applies to any additional platform version if one is announced.

1. Local-first design

RaceLineCalc is designed as a local-first app. In the current product design, project data is created, processed, and stored on your device unless you choose to export, share, import, contact support, make a purchase through Apple or Google, or use third-party services through your device operating system.

The current app has no user account or login flow.

This means that, by default, RaceLineCalc is not intended to require a Red Rat in Hat account to create local projects, import track images, run local calculations, or export results.

2. Information you may provide or create in the app

When you use RaceLineCalc, you may choose to create or import the following types of information:

• track images, plans, sketches, screenshots, or maps;
• calibration points and scale references;
• track boundaries, contours, and editable geometry;
• project names, project metadata, and project settings;
• solver settings, model presets, vehicle or track assumptions, and calculation parameters;
• generated track geometry, station geometry, racing-line trajectories, lap-time estimates, acceleration overlays, braking markers, speed markers, and related solver artifacts;
• exported PNG images, screenshots, overlays, and .rlcproject project archives;
• local thumbnails and previews generated for project cards.

This information is generally treated as user content or project data.

3. Imported images and project files

RaceLineCalc may let you select an image, plan, sketch, or file from your device. The app uses these files to create or update a RaceLineCalc project.

Imported images and project files may include information that you or the original source embedded in them, such as names, labels, map details, camera metadata, or other visible or hidden information. You are responsible for choosing what you import and for making sure you have the right to use it.

RaceLineCalc does not intend to upload imported track images or project files to Red Rat in Hat by default. However, data may leave your device if:

• you export or share a project archive;
• you save or share an exported image;
• you send a project, image, screenshot, or other attachment to support;
• another third-party service you choose to use receives the file through your device’s operating system or share sheet.

4. Generated solver artifacts

RaceLineCalc generates technical artifacts from your inputs, such as track geometry, station geometry, racing-line trajectories, lap-time estimates, acceleration overlays, braking and speed markers, cached thumbnails, and other calculation outputs.

These artifacts are part of your local project data. They may be included in exported images, .rlcproject archives, screenshots, support attachments, or other files you choose to share.

5. Local storage

RaceLineCalc may store project data locally on your device using app storage technologies such as SQLite, local files, secure local storage, caches, or platform-provided app storage.

Local data may include:

• user-created projects;
• demo projects;
• project metadata;
• imported file references or imported file copies;
• generated geometry and solver results;
• thumbnails and previews;
• local flags, entitlement state, settings, or feature-unlock state.

Deleting the app may delete local app data, depending on the platform and operating system behavior. Exported files, images saved to your photo library, or files shared outside the app may remain outside the app after deletion.

6. Exports, sharing, and user-controlled disclosure

RaceLineCalc may allow you to export project archives, generate PNG/image overlays, save images to your device, or open your device’s system share sheet.

When you export, save, or share content, you control the disclosure of that content. The recipient application, storage provider, messaging app, email client, cloud provider, or other destination may process the exported content under its own terms and privacy policy.

Exported images may include RaceLineCalc or Red Rat in Hat branding or watermarking.

7. Photo library and media permissions

RaceLineCalc may request access to your photo library or media library so that you can:

• import a track image or other source image;
• save an exported overlay image;
• select media for use in a project.

The app should request only the permissions needed for the relevant feature. Your device operating system may provide its own permission dialogs and settings for managing access to photos, media, documents, or files.

8. File import and document picker

RaceLineCalc may use your device’s document picker or file picker to import files, including .rlcproject project archives. When you select a file, the app may read the selected file to create or update a local project.

RaceLineCalc may also create files for export. You decide where to save or share exported files using your device’s file and sharing tools.

9. In-app purchases and Pro features

RaceLineCalc may offer Pro features, lifetime unlocks, paid features, or other in-app purchases through Apple App Store or Google Play.

Apple and Google process payments and may collect information such as transaction metadata, purchase status, refund status, account information, tax information, device information, and fraud-prevention information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

RaceLineCalc may receive or store purchase-related information needed to unlock features, restore purchases, validate entitlement state, support users, and prevent misuse. RaceLineCalc is not intended to receive your full payment card number from Apple or Google.

10. Support communications

If you contact support at support@redratinhat.com, you may choose to send information such as your email address, app version, platform, device details, screenshots, project descriptions, .rlcproject files, exported images, logs, purchase information, or other details.

Support emails and attachments are processed so that we can respond to your request, troubleshoot issues, investigate bugs, handle purchase or restore questions, and improve the product.

Do not send sensitive personal information, confidential third-party data, or track materials you are not allowed to share.

11. Device, app, and localization information

RaceLineCalc may access or use limited device and app information needed for app functionality, such as:

• app version and build number;
• platform and operating system information;
• device language, locale, and region settings;
• local project identifiers;
• local storage identifiers;
• settings and entitlement state.

Some of this information may remain only on your device. Some may be included in support messages if you choose to send diagnostics or describe your setup.

12. Analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and rewarded unlocks

RaceLineCalc may use platform-provided diagnostics and Google AdMob for advertising, ad delivery, ad measurement, fraud prevention, and related advertising functionality. AdMob may process device identifiers, approximate location, app activity, ad interaction data, diagnostic information, and other data according to Google policies and user consent settings where applicable.

RaceLineCalc does not use advertising SDKs to upload your local track images, project files, racing-line geometry, or solver outputs to Red Rat in Hat for calculation. Platform stores and advertising providers may still process technical data required to provide their services.

13. Third-party and system services

RaceLineCalc may interact with third-party or system services, including:

• Apple App Store and Google Play for app distribution, purchases, entitlement restoration, and store policies;
• Google AdMob for advertising, ad measurement, and fraud prevention;
• your device’s photo library, file picker, document picker, and share sheet;
• your email client if you choose to contact support;
• cloud storage, messaging, or sharing apps you choose as export destinations;
• platform diagnostics and crash reporting tools provided by the operating system or app stores.

Those third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

14. Children and minors

RaceLineCalc is a general-purpose motorsport calculation tool and is not directed to children. It is not submitted as a children’s or family-targeted app.

The app does not require users to create an account or provide a date of birth. Younger users should use the app with appropriate supervision and in accordance with applicable laws, app store age ratings, track rules, event rules, and guardian permissions.

If RaceLineCalc is later offered in a way that targets children or is submitted under a children/family program, this Privacy Policy and store privacy disclosures will be reviewed and updated before release.

15. Retention and deletion

Local projects and generated artifacts remain on your device until you delete them, delete the app, clear app data, or remove exported files using your operating system tools.

Support emails and attachments are usually retained for up to 24 months after the last interaction about the request. They may be retained longer when reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, investigate security or product issues, or protect the service.

Advertising, store, and platform diagnostic data are retained according to the policies of the relevant third-party service provider.

16. International processing

The operator is registered in Armenia. You may use the app, contact support, purchase through app stores, or share files from other countries.

Your information may be processed in your country, Armenia, or other countries where Apple, Google, email providers, hosting providers, support providers, or other third-party services operate.

Rights and obligations may vary depending on your location. Privacy rights may apply depending on your country or region.

17. Your choices

Depending on your platform and release configuration, you may be able to:

• avoid importing sensitive images or files;
• delete local projects;
• delete the app or clear local app data;
• choose whether to export or share project files;
• choose whether to send support attachments;
• manage photo, media, file, and notification permissions in device settings;
• request support deletion of support emails or attachments by contacting support, subject to legal and operational limits;
• manage purchases, refunds, and subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play.

18. Security

RaceLineCalc is designed to keep most project data local by default, but no app, device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You should avoid importing or sharing confidential track data, copyrighted plans, private images, or other sensitive material unless you are comfortable with the risks and have the rights to use and share that material.

19. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as RaceLineCalc evolves, including when new platforms, features, purchases, analytics, or support processes are added.

The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when the policy changes.
