By using RaceLineCalc, you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. What RaceLineCalc does
RaceLineCalc calculates racing lines from track images, plans, sketches, or similar source materials.
The app lets you import or create projects, calibrate track images, draw or edit track boundaries, choose calculation and model settings, calculate trajectories and lap times, export images, and share project archives.
RaceLineCalc is currently available on Android through Google Play. Availability on other platforms has not been announced. Features, availability, pricing, supported platforms, calculation behavior, and Pro functionality may change over time.
2. License to use the app
Subject to these Terms and the applicable rules of the platform where you access the app, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use RaceLineCalc for planning, analysis, experimentation, and reference purposes.
You may not:
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where applicable law allows it;
- remove, hide, or alter branding, copyright notices, or watermarks;
- use the app to violate laws, platform rules, track rules, event rules, or third-party rights;
- use the app to build a competing service by copying substantial parts of its design, outputs, or functionality;
- interfere with app operation, store systems, purchase systems, or local project processing.
3. Your content and source-image rights
You are responsible for the images, plans, sketches, project files, maps, screenshots, calibration data, boundaries, settings, and other content you import, create, export, or share through RaceLineCalc.
You must have the rights, permission, license, or other lawful basis to use any image, plan, sketch, map, track material, or other source data you import into the app.
You must not import, export, or share content that:
- infringes copyright, trademark, database rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, contract rights, or other rights;
- contains confidential or restricted information you are not allowed to use;
- violates track, event, club, organizer, mapping provider, or venue rules;
- contains malware or harmful code;
- is unlawful, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate.
RaceLineCalc does not grant you rights to third-party track maps, satellite images, plans, screenshots, drawings, logos, or other materials.
4. Ownership of your projects
You retain whatever rights you have in your own project data and source materials.
RaceLineCalc may process your project data to provide app functionality, including local storage, import/export, rendering, solver calculations, preview generation, and support troubleshooting if you choose to send materials to support.
Exported images and project files may include RaceLineCalc or Red Rat in Hat branding or watermarking. You may use exported images for your own planning, discussion, reference, or presentation purposes, subject to these Terms and any rights in the underlying source materials.
5. Safety, motorsport, and public-road disclaimer
RaceLineCalc is an engineering and reference tool for planning and analysis. It is not professional driving advice, racing advice, coaching advice, safety advice, legal advice, or vehicle setup advice.
Motorsport, track driving, karting, motorcycle riding, motocross, racing, time attack, high-speed driving, and related activities are dangerous. They can cause serious injury, death, property damage, legal liability, or other harm.
You are solely responsible for:
- obeying all laws and road rules;
- following track, venue, event, club, organizer, and marshal instructions;
- using appropriate safety equipment;
- driving or riding within your ability and conditions;
- validating any app output before relying on it;
- deciding whether any line, speed, setup, or maneuver is safe and lawful.
RaceLineCalc must not be used to encourage unsafe driving, street racing, speeding, reckless riding, illegal public-road use, or violation of public-road rules.
6. Solver output, estimates, and model limitations
RaceLineCalc solver output is an estimate based on user inputs, source-image quality, calibration, geometry, model assumptions, and selected settings.
Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, unstable, unrealistic, or unsuitable for a particular vehicle, rider, driver, track, surface, condition, or event.
RaceLineCalc does not guarantee:
- lap time improvement;
- performance improvement;
- safety;
- legality;
- real-world suitability;
- vehicle-specific accuracy;
- track-specific accuracy;
- racing success;
- coach-level correctness;
- professional engineering correctness.
You must independently validate all outputs before relying on them.
RaceLineCalc may not fully account for factors such as grip changes, bumps, camber, elevation, weather, temperature, rubbering-in, traffic, rider technique, driver technique, vehicle dynamics, suspension, tires, braking behavior, power delivery, hazards, curbs, berms, ruts, motocross surface deformation, or track evolution.
7. Motocross and off-road use
RaceLineCalc may be used as a rough reference tool for motocross or off-road track layouts, but its output should not be treated as an optimal motocross racing line.
Motocross lines may depend on ruts, berms, soil condition, jump faces, landings, changing grip, rider technique, track degradation, and other factors that may not be represented in the app model.
A geometrically short or apex-based line may be less useful than a real-world line that follows a berm, rut, or higher-grip path. RaceLineCalc cannot guarantee that it can model or calculate those conditions.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use RaceLineCalc to:
- violate any law, rule, contract, track policy, event policy, or platform rule;
- promote unsafe driving or riding on public roads;
- create or share unlawful, infringing, confidential, or harmful content;
- misrepresent RaceLineCalc outputs as professional safety guidance;
- bypass app store purchase systems, entitlement checks, or Pro feature controls;
- interfere with app security, purchase validation, app data, or local project processing;
- upload or share materials you are not allowed to use;
- misuse support channels or send malicious files.
9. Pro features and in-app purchases
RaceLineCalc may offer Pro features, paid unlocks, lifetime purchases, subscriptions, rewarded unlocks, or other paid or locked functionality depending on release configuration.
In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Their terms, payment rules, taxes, refund policies, family sharing rules, subscription rules, and purchase-management tools may apply.
RaceLineCalc may store or check purchase status, entitlement state, restore status, or transaction metadata needed to enable purchased features.
Refunds, chargebacks, cancellations, and subscription management are generally handled through the platform where you made the purchase, unless applicable law or platform policy requires otherwise.
Paid features, Pro access, subscriptions, lifetime unlocks, trials, refunds, restore flows, and purchase management are provided through Apple App Store or Google Play. A lifetime unlock means access to the applicable paid functionality through the platform account and product version for which it was purchased, subject to platform rules, technical availability, app changes, and applicable law.
10. Demo projects and generated outputs
RaceLineCalc may include demo projects and sample content. Demo projects are provided only for learning and testing the app.
Generated outputs, overlays, trajectories, lap-time estimates, exported images, and .rlcproject archives are for reference purposes only.
You are responsible for reviewing and validating generated outputs before using them in any real-world context.
11. Exports, sharing, and watermarks
RaceLineCalc may let you export or share project archives, screenshots, overlays, or PNG/image results.
Exported images may include RaceLineCalc or Red Rat in Hat branding or watermarking. You may not remove or misrepresent branding where the export feature intentionally includes it.
When you share exported content, you are responsible for the recipients, platforms, and services you choose. Third-party services may apply their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Support
Support is available at:
Support responses are not guaranteed within any specific time unless separately agreed. Support may be limited for development, beta, pre-release, test, or unsupported builds.
When contacting support, you are responsible for deciding what screenshots, project files, exported files, or attachments to send.
13. Changes to the app
RaceLineCalc may change over time. Features may be added, removed, modified, renamed, limited, or made paid. Solver behavior, model assumptions, supported platforms, project formats, export formats, and Pro features may change.
The app may be unavailable, unstable, or incomplete during development, testing, review, or platform approval.
14. Third-party services and stores
RaceLineCalc may rely on third-party services such as Apple App Store, Google Play, device operating systems, photo libraries, file pickers, share sheets, email clients, cloud storage providers, Google AdMob, and platform diagnostics or SDK providers included in the released app.
Those third-party services are governed by their own terms, policies, and technical limitations.
15. No warranties
RaceLineCalc is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator does not make warranties that the app will be accurate, safe, error-free, uninterrupted, secure, suitable for any purpose, compatible with every device, or accepted by every app store or platform.
RaceLineCalc output may be wrong. You use the app and its outputs at your own risk.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PE Patsukevich Aleksandr, Red Rat in Hat, and persons involved in developing or supporting RaceLineCalc will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, loss of opportunity, personal injury, property damage, racing loss, event loss, vehicle damage, or reliance on solver output.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability where such exclusion is not allowed by applicable law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. In those cases, the limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
17. Termination or suspension
Access to RaceLineCalc or specific features may be limited, suspended, or terminated if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, attempt to bypass purchase systems, interfere with security, violate platform rules, or use the app unlawfully.
Because RaceLineCalc currently has no user account system, termination may be implemented through platform-level actions, feature restrictions, license checks, entitlement status, app distribution controls, support refusal, or other available means.
18. Governing law and dispute forum
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in your country or region, disputes relating to RaceLineCalc or these Terms will be submitted to the competent courts of Yerevan, Armenia.
